Houston Astros President, Baseball Operations - Reid Ryan
Reid Ryan enters his second full season with the Astros after being named the club's President of Business Operations on May 17, 2013. Reid, 43, is one of the youngest team presidents in the game. Before joining the Astros, Reid was the founder and CEO of both the Corpus Christi Hooks and the Round Rock Express minor league franchises.

SHSU Provost - Jaimie L. Hebert


SHSU Provost - Dr. Jaimie Hebert

Dr. Hebert received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in statistics at the University of Louisiana and taught at Appalachian State University before coming to Sam Houston State in 1995. Prior to his service as dean, Hebert was chair of the Department of Mathematics at SHSU. He secured funding and official status for the Reeves Center for Mathematics Education.

SHSU Head Football Coach - K.C. Keeler



K.C. Keeler was named as Sam Houston’s 15th head football coach on January 23, 2014. In three seasons as head coach at Sam Houston State University, K. C. Keeler directed the Bearkats to a 33-12 record that includes five victories over top 10 ranked opponents and six wins in NCAA post-season action.

SHSU Interim Dean, College of Health Sciences - Ken Hendrickson







COHS Interim Dean - Ken Hendrickson


Ken Hendrickson, associate dean in Sam Houston State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences, was selected to serve as interim dean of the College of Health Sciences on Jan. 15. Hendrickson joined the SHSU faculty in the history department in 1994 and was named full professor in 2007. He also served as interim chair of the department from 2009-2010. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from Texas A&M University and his doctorate from the University of Iowa.

Director of Alumni Relations - Charlie Vienne  

Director of Alumni Relations - Charlie Vienne
Vienne served as assistant director for alumni relations from June 2006 until his appointment to the interim position, and now Director. He previously worked as assistant athletic director for external relations at Northwestern (La.) State University, from 2002-06. He received his master's degree in sports management from Georgia Southern University in 1993, his bachelor's in business administration from Northwestern State in 1991, and has done post graduate study in accounting at Northwestern State.
